Profile
I have been blessed with an exciting 25 years following my call of full time ministry to Students and Families and believe God is stirring in my life and leading me into a ministry shift. My gifts are preaching, leadership development, seeking out needs in the community and building those bridges between community and church, mentoring, event organization. It is fun knowing that we are all capable of comprehending the Word of God and living an exhilarating Christian lifestyle. I believe the church needs to apply the radical love of Jesus by showing Jesus in culturally relevant ways and believe God has equipped me and made me ready for a ministry shift.
My Brief Testimony
Born in 1968 into a Christian home, I was saved at teen camp the summer of my freshman year in high school. I knew I was called into ministry right from the start but I found it easy to run and become a Jonah. I changed churches, changed girlfriends and many other things in my life so God would not find me. After playing that game and losing, I became sold out for Jesus. I attended Olivet Nazarene University as a “Religion Major” but after my first year I found it hard to tell people how to apply the Word and compassion of Jesus to their lives. I then realized my gifts were leading me to graduate in 1991 with a social work degree. All I could think of is “How is this serving the church or a ministry?” Well, God knew what He was doing for it has been a great adventure allowing me to build bridges between today’s society and culture to the church. I completed my religion degree while serving on the Northwestern Illinois District and was ordained in 1994. I love the Lord, my family, the ministry, and desire to serve in His adventures — preaching, mentoring, and helping people apply God’s Word to their lives.
